Marina Shukuroglou Sparsis is the founder of Marina’s Playschool, which started in 1988. She has been running it since then with enthusiasm, dedication and love for all her children!
Daphne is the Educational Manager at MPS, since 2023 and the lead teacher in the Red room since 2020. She holds a degree in Pedagogy and Psychology, a MSc in Health and Social Psychology and diplomas in Narrative psychotherapy, Mindfulness and Marte Meo pedagogical technique. She has worked in international schools across the EU for the past 12 years as a preschool teacher, parent consultant, and education manager .
Elena has been the lead teacher in the Sunshine and Yellow room since 2021. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree of Education in Autism. She is also trained in Jolly Phonics. She has 9 years of experience in teaching in various countries both in mainstream and special need schools. She also leads the Little Scientists afternoon class.
Koulla holds a one year course in “Child Care and Education” and an “Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education.” She has 28 years of experience working in both English and Greek nurseries, with all ages, from babies up to 4.5 years of age.
Niki is the head teacher in the Orange room. She studied and worked in Sydney, and holds an Associate Diploma in Social Sciences, with x35 years of experience.
She has been at M.P. since 2008. Niki loves working, especially with toddlers, meeting their needs, and her main focus is for them to be happy and thrive in all areas of development!
Christina works at Marina's Playschool for the past two years, as the teaching assistant in the Orange room.
Joanna has a NAMC Montessori Diploma, a University of Cambridge CELTYL Certificate for teaching English as a second language and previously worked at the Falcon School as Preschool Teacher and assistant in Grades 1 and 2.
Sophia has been part of Marina’s Playschool team for the past 4 years, contributing her care and experience across a range of age groups in both morning and afternoon programs. With a background in Montessori education, she brings a calm and nurturing presence to the classroom.
Daphne holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from UCL and has since been working as an Early Years Teacher at UCL Day Nursery. She is passionate about supporting young children’s development across all areas, and is known for her creativity, patience, and energy. Daphne works collaboratively with children, parents, and colleagues to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Tiffany has been working at Marinas playschool for 7 years. She has over 20 years of experience working with young children. She graduated in London and is passionate about supporting children's early development in a caring and nurturing environment.
Amanda has been at Marina’s Playschool for two years. She is a certified Reggio Emilia practitioner. She previously worked with children as an aerial dance instructor and brings creativity and energy to the classroom.
Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management. Maria has 7 years of experience working in various kindergartens and schools, supporting children across different age groups.
Pem holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching and has worked with children aged 2 to 6 for over 12 years. Before joining the Red Room, she spent three years as an assistant teacher in the Rainbow Room. Pem enjoys helping young children learn and grow in a fun and caring environment.
Georgina has been working at Marina's for roughly 33 years in the reception class. What's very important to her is, apart from the academic skills she teaches, to also build on children's positive social skills.
Georgina likes to look at each child as individuals. And sees to their personal needs. Experience has taught her that no child is the same as another. Each child has his hidden talent, which she tries to bring to the surface.
