About our Daily Program

Arrival Time 7:30-9:00

On arrival parents take their children to their classes where they are greeted by the teachers and are encouraged to participate in any of the activities set up in the classroom. These could be drawing, painting, puzzles, manipulative toys, cutting, sticking, play dough, water play and many more. During this period the teacher observes and encourages the children to create, explore and discover!

Circle Time/Register

Circle time is an integral part of the day

  • It is the time for the children and the teacher to talk about the days of the week, find out about the weather, and go through who is here and who is absent.
  • This is repeated on a daily basis and it encourages children to talk, listen, and share their ideas among their friends, enriching their vocabulary and helping to build their confidence.
  • It promotes social skills through daily and structured social interactions.
  • Songs, actions and movements are very important at this time as it helps children concentrate and motivate them to take part in the lesson.
  • This is the time when a theme will begin, which might last from one to two weeks and up to one month!
  • Sometimes parent involvement is encouraged either to come and talk to the children (Occupations theme) or to bring something for the lesson.
  • Information is provided by means of the internet, or visual aids related to the subject provided by the teacher, the children, and their parents.

Activity time

When the themes come into play

  • The chosen subject and its concept will be developed and expressed by the children through various activities, such as painting, printing, cutting, and sticking- a variety of handicrafts.
  • Various materials, as well as recycled, of different textures are used for all types of activities. We try to show children that any activity can be done with various objects around the house, encouraging them to use their imagination. For example, pasta, gravel, soil, wood, clay, different fabrics, fruit and vegetable and many more.
  • Simple cookery lessons are included during activity time, performed by the teachers and the children.
  • Experiments many times can aid the lessons, teaching critical thinking, cause-and-effect, and trial-and-error. It also adds lots of excitement and the surprise effect.

Outdoor Play

Each age group goes outside at different times for an hour. Gross motor skills such as running, jumping, climbing, playing with balls (throwing, kicking) are reinforced in the playground. “Pretend play” sharing, taking turns, communicating and socializing among children are skills also prompted by the teachers during this time.

Story time

Story time is an essential part of the school program as it develops the children's concentration, social skills, communication skills, and encourages their imagination and creativity. Pictures from the book are shown to them and sometimes other forms of visual aids are used to give a new dimension to stories. These include felt or magnetic boards, with individual characters or objects, hand puppets or even dramatization by the children themselves.

Through story time short discussions can follow, and children are given the opportunity to express their opinion and their understanding of the story.

Quiet Activity

At this time of the day, the children can relax and sit at the tables that are set up with various activities and toys promoting concentration, socialization, team work, turn-taking, sharing, and many more skills until their lunch time.

Lunch time

Lunch time is different for all the classes. All the children sit together and are taught table manners. Parents have the option to order catering or bring lunch from home for their children. This is a time to sit together as a class and a time to develop their social skills.
